Based in Chilliwack, British Columbia, we specialize in producing match-grade barrels and bolt-action rifle actions. Each of our barrels starts with high-grade 416R stainless steel, which we hone, hand-lap, double stress relieve, and precisely machined using advanced CNC equipment. We refine every contour, chamber, and finish to ensure peak consistency, minimal deviation, and repeatable performance in the most demanding environments.

President
With over 40 years of international business expertise across a broad spectrum, Al brings a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to the company and team. He is a fiery firearms enthusiast with 35 years of top level competition under his belt including having represented Canada at 7 Palma (1000m w/ iron sights) World Championships and numerous international matches. Needless to say he's using IBI now.

Chief Executive Officer
An Engineer by trade, his experience working for Toyota manufacturing has given him the skills to both enhance and simplify operations in the shop at IBI. This allows IBI to keep among the lowest lead times in the industry while allowing for a premium high end product that people can count on. David's mission is to ensure that IBI continues to be one of the leaders in the precision rifle industry and that the company and brand live up to the expectations of our customers and dealers.

Chief Operating Officer
Having operated large companies with up to 150 employees, Johan enjoys managing people and teams along with taking on the challenges that a fast growing company presents. With decades of competitive target shooting, Johan tics all of the boxes having competed in - Olympics (2008), Commonwealth Games (2006), Pan-Am games (2010), and four world championships with the most recent being in 2024 in South Africa (Palma 1000m w/ iron sights).

Originally the founder of MDT, Laszlo knows a few things about bringing exciting new products to bear.
As our in house "mad machinist" it is his continuous innovations that help to spin out the precision barrels & actions that IBI/Ultimatum is so well known for. Laszlo is also an accomplished shooter having competed in Service Rifle, PRS & F-Class disciplines.

As the Sales Director of IBI since early 2023, Peter has committed himself to improving his shooting knowledge base and to the sales & service excellence that our customers expect & deserve. His depth of experience in business & sales has helped and will continue to help IBI grow to the next level and beyond. A 15 year tactical & black rifle shooter, we have slowly turned him to the precision rifle side.

Graeme has been with IBI since 2018, working his way up from the ground level to Shop Manager through hands-on experience and leadership. Over the years, he has developed a deep, practical understanding of every stage of precision barrel manufacturing.
Jaime M.
Office Manager
Jaime joined our team as our office manager here at IBI in 2024.As the heart of the office, Jaime keeps things moving, not only managing the daily admin & payments, but assisting with shipping, export permits, and transfers. She has a passion for shotgun and pistol shooting but we are slowing converting her to precision rifle.
